Cheaters Risk Everything and Gain Nothing.
Cheating on Summative Assessments: If you are suspected of cheating on any summative assignment for any reason (student witness, teacher witness, seeing an electronic device, etc…),
1st Offense—you will be referred to the dean’s office, the first test grade will be thrown out and an alternative assessment will be administered. The grade on the second assessment will be entered and no retake will be available.
2nd Offense—you will be referred to the dean’s office, the first test grade will be thrown out and a zero will be entered into the grade book.
3rd Offense—you will be referred to the dean’s office and it will be recommended that you are withdrawn from the class.
Cheating on Formative Assessments: If the teacher suspects cheating on a formative assessment, the individual “copying” the work and the individual “supplying” the answers will both receive a zero on that assessment. The opportunity to resubmit the work is lost and therefore the opportunity to retake the summative assessments is also lost.
